Monument of Valor - Tormented Weapons?
Before GW:EN came out, my time was mainly spent farming gemstones for a Tormented Shortbow. After all, even with the new expansion, I believe it (personal opinion) to be the best skinned weapon in the game. However, I'm not so sure whether I want to continue the farming now that I've found out that its not allowed on the Monument of Valor! Of all the weapons, I'd have though the Tormented gear would be allowed in that monument. After all, its harder(?) to farm than the Destroyer weaponry, more expensive to buy, and, when all is said and done, a high proportion of the community think it looks better. At least, a high proportion of the people I have asked out it have said so. I appreciate that Anet can't make any old weapon go into the monument, as it would be abused by useless forms of said weapon. But both Tormented weaponry and Destroyer weaponry can only be created at a high level, so why can't both be added to the monument?
What do you think?
(If there is a thread already saying this, I apologize. I checked back until the posts were marked 9-30-2007).

Because that would be amazingly difficult to code, and everyone has different ideas on perfect weaponry. You they all have to be req 9? Have to have a perfect inscription and mods? One persons idea of a good weapon can differ greatly from another's. And if it was not decided properly, it could be abused. Whereas tormented weapons are always high end, always expensive as hell and prices are unlikely to fluctuate.

Why only farmed weapons, what about those that casual players archived by completing/doing certain things?
I believe that HoM is not only there for the hardcore players.
And to prevent getting things out of proportion, everything added should be character customized.
Which means, if your not dedicated to your weapon it doesn't belong there.

It would not be difficult to code, sine its just a number you look up in the database.

the monument of valor is completely and utterly fubar. 1st destroyer weps are ugly and suck. second, alot of ppl spent alot of time and money trying to get other rare items (ele sword, torment weps, crystaline, ect)... at least put some more variety into what they should be able to put on....

I think that ultimately, very weapon with perfect mods should be able to go there, but that's probably not gonna happen.
But only letting the Destroyer weapons in there is absolutely retarded! COME ON ANet... Can't you see it?!

There are plenty of threads concerning this already. On a different note, I can totally advice you to continue farming for the bow. I myself have recently acquired a Tormented Recurve Bow (which I believe is the same skin?) and I can tell that it was worth all the hard work. Just keep at it, you'll get it, and you'll see that its well worth it because
1. Tormented weapons are still a symbol of status (and therefore should be able to be put in the Monument, like Obsidian armor is... if that isn't status I don't know what it is)
2. It's just one wickedly cool looking bow!

eww torment bow is ugly, but meh, neways, it seems pretty dumb that anet only allows destroyer weps, hopefully they'll expand on the category in the coming time though.
